Workout Description

Hop in a cab or rent a car for the day and drive the 30 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip to Red Rock Canyon for a little bit of a different Vegas experience. You can see the Strip from some viewpoints, but my favorite is the relatively easy Turtlehead Peak hike. (Pictured.)

Plan your visit and download your hikes/maps ahead of time as there isn’t much reception in the canyon!

FROM SOUTHERN NEVADA CONSERVANCY:

The Visitor Center is open daily from 8:00 AM – 4:30 pm.

The Scenic Drive is open every day of the year with hours changing slightly according to the season:

Nov – Feb – 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM
March – 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Apr – Sep – 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Oct – 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM
